Celebrates 10th anniversary

 

2025 marks two important milestones in Hong Kong’s smart city journey—the 10th anniversary of the Smart City Consortium (SCC) and the first anniversary of the Greater Bay Area Low Altitude Economy Alliance (GBA LAEA). To commemorate the occasion, a celebratory cocktail reception was held on September 8, 2025, bringing together more than 800 guests from government, the innovation and technology sector, academia, industry, think tanks, media, and the international community.

 

The Financial Secretary, Mr. Paul Chan, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, served as the Guest of Honor and delivered the keynote address at the event. Dr. Hon Elizabeth Quat, SBS, BBS, JP, SCC’s Founder and Steering Committee Chairman and GBA LAEA’s Founding Chairman, delivered the welcome remarks, while Mr. Gary Yeung, MH, SCC’s President and GBA LAEA Honorary Secretary, presented the vote of thanks.

 

Dr. Winnie Tang, MH, JP, Founder and Honorary President of SCC and Founding Vice President of GBA LAEA, has been fostering the advancement of smart city development in Hong Kong and has contributed to the vision of the low-altitude economy across the Greater Bay Area.
