Esri GIS Learning Centre Launches at Macau UC

 

Esri China (Hong Kong), in collaboration with NetCraft Information Technology (Macau), successfully organized the Esri Macau User Conference in September 2023. With the conference theme "Digital Twin – Empowering a Smarter Macau", a diverse group of senior management from both public and private sectors in Macau gathered at the conference hall for a vibrant exchange of ideas for the latest developments in GIS technology and its solutions, which are driving sustainable growth and the development of a smart city in Macau and the Greater Bay Area.

To further nurture GIS talents that align with Macau's smart city aspirations, we are thrilled to announce the opening of the Esri GIS Learning Centre in Macau. The launch ceremony took place during the Esri Macau UC and was officiated by Sr Paul Tsui, CEO of Esri China (Hong Kong), and Mr. Eric Wong, General Manager of NetCraft.

 

Macau is experiencing a transformation in urban infrastructure and fostering sustainability for the quality of life of residents. Digital Twin is a foundation for building a smart city. At the conference, GIS analysts from Esri China (Hong Kong) demonstrated solutions such as 3D GIS, ArcGIS Maps SDKs for Game Engines, and the Smart Site Safety System (SSSS) that would drive Macau as a smarter city. Also, the attendees showed interest in the exhibition booths including FJDynamics. The technology company showcased its hand-held 3D point cloud mapping device that can capture and construct 3D models of the target object and the surrounding environment with high accuracy. The collected point cloud data can be visualized in ArcGIS Pro for further applications and analysis.
