Dr. Winnie Tang Conferred as

Honorary Professor by THEi

 

The founder and chairman of Esri China (Hong Kong), Dr. Winnie Tang, has been conferred the title of Honorary Professor by the Faculty of Design and Environment, Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) at the Graduation Ceremony 2023 on November 28, 2023. This achievement highlights Dr. Tang’s contributions and unwavering support of nurturing students with geospatial knowledge in an ever-changing society.

THEi Graduation Ceremony 2023 is held in THEi Chai Wan Campus. Dr. Winnie Tang (front row 7th from the right) shares the joy of conferment with members of THEi and colleagues from Esri China (Hong Kong).

 

Dr. Winnie Tang has been actively advocating the use of geospatial technology and sharing her views regarding the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry, eHealth, environmental conservation, entrepreneurship, and the smart city through her services in government and non-government organizations. Dr. Tang’s efforts in advancing education and technology have aligned with THEi’s mission of nurturing work-and-future-ready graduates across various industries in Hong Kong. Upon receiving this honor, Dr. Tang extended her heartfelt gratitude to THEi for the conferment of the honorary professorship.

 

Meanwhile, Esri China (Hong Kong) wholeheartedly congratulates Dr. Winnie Tang on this honor and we will continue to serve as a driving force in GIS education through GIS Academy, Map in Learning Program (MiL), Esri Young Scholars Award (YSA), and different GIS competitions.
