Smart City Development Under Global Spotlight
In the WRLDCTY Festival 2021 (26-28 October), the world's largest virtual cities festival focussing on urban culture and innovation, Dr. Winnie Tang, founder and chairman of Esri China (HK), and founder and honorary president of the Smart City Consortium, moderated a panel entitled "Urban Innovation in Hong Kong: Smart City and Beyond", at the invitation of the Brand Hong Kong Management Unit of the Information Services Department. The panelists included Mrs. Betty Fung Ching Suk-yee, Chief Executive Officer of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority; Mr. Vincent Ng Wing-shun, Chairman of the Harbour Commission and Professor Inge Goudsmit of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The panel took place at City Gallery to discuss the future of smart city living from different perspectives including discussions on the development of the West Kowloon Cultural District, and harbourfront and urban innovation.
