HKU’s Town and Gown Symposium

Forty-five years ago, the Centre of Urban Studies and Urban Planning (CUSUP) was established with the vision and mission to advance interdisciplinary research addressing Hong Kong and Asia’s unique urban challenges as advised by Sir Peter Hall, a distinguished English town planner and geographer. CUSUP has been at the forefront of interdisciplinary research. Marking this important milestone, the 45th Anniversary of CUSUP was commemorated through the “Town and Gown Symposium on New Technologies in Urban Planning and Management” held on July 26, 2025 at the University of Hong Kong.
