GIS-IoT Integration Demonstrated

at InnoEX 2024

 

Two Innovation and Technology (I&T) signature events - the Digital Economy Summit (DES) and the InnoEX 2024 were successfully held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre during the Business of Innovation and Technology Week in April. Bearing the theme of “Smarter Technovation for All: Forging a Sustainable Future”, the DES 2024 attracted technology leaders and industry experts from various places to exchange views on how innovative technology can enable cities’ digital transformation. 

 

Among the Guests of Honour at the DES 2024 were The Hon Paul Chan Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary; The Hon Michael Wong Wai-lun, GBS, JP, Deputy Financial Secretary; Professor The Hon Dong Sun, JP, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry; Mr. Chan Sai Ming, Simon, BBS, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Cyberport; Dr. Winnie Tang, MH, JP, Founder and Honorary President of Smart City Consortium (SCC); Dr. Denis Yip, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI); Mr. Edmond Lai, Chief Digital Officer of Hong Kong Productivity Council, and Mr. Simon Wong, MH, FCILT, Chief Executive Officer of Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre (LSCM).

 

Smart City Consortium (SCC), co-organizer of the Digital Economy Summit 2024, held a half-day “Energy, Environment and Mobility Forum” jointly with the Applied Science and Technology Research Institute. SCC Founder and Honorary President Dr. Winnie Tang gave opening remarks at the event.  

 

Furthermore, Esri China (Hong Kong) participated in the InnoEX 2024 at the Smart City Consortium Pavilion. At our booth, we demonstrated the integration of ArcGIS with real-time IoT sensors connected with an interactive map dashboard for facilities management.
