Hip Hing Builds Kai Tak Sports Park with ArcGIS


GIS is helping architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) companies build smart communities for the future. Construction company Hip Hing has been using GIS for a number of projects in Hong Kong, such as Kai Tak Sports Park, the expansion of the Legislative Council Complex building, the District Court Building at Caroline Hill Road and a new rooftop Public Market at Tin Shui Wai. With the adoption of ArcGIS, Hip Hing enhances its workflow in an efficient manner. 


BIM manages the design of future buildings, and GIS manages the proximity surrounding the project. Cooperating with Esri China (Hong Kong), Hip Hing obtains ArcGIS that helps visualize geospatial data and turns it into a value addition or actionable insight. With GIS-BIM integration, Hip Hing can have a scalable digital platform for storing and managing construction-related information, including design documents, permits, inspection and progress reports.
