Esri Young Scholars Award Winners
Give Presentation in June
Esri launched the Esri Young Scholars Award (YSA) program in 2012 to recognize outstanding work in geospatial sciences by undergraduate and graduate students globally. Esri China (Hong Kong) fully supports the program and encourages tertiary educators and students in Hong Kong to participate. The competition received a huge response, with high-quality GIS research projects covering various academic topics. Congratulations to Mr. CHEUNG Chi Cho, Evan from the Department of Urban Planning and Design in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong for being crowned the 2023 Esri Young Scholars Award champion for his project titled “A Walk to Remember - Measuring Objective Walkability with Environmental Considerations in Hong Kong”. He gave a presentation for his winning project at the Esri China (Hong Kong) User Conference 2023.

The champion of the individual session will win a trip to attend the world's largest GIS conference – Esri User Conference in San Diego, USA. Furthermore, a local Award Presentation Ceremony will be held on June 28, 2023 (Wednesday) at H6 Conet, Central where the awardees will present their geospatial work at the ceremony.
GIS Academy is now open for application. Esri Young Scholar Award participants, local professors, and lecturers are eligible to join the membership of the GIS Academy.
