Best Practice in Designing COVID-19 Dashboards
Our Senior Director, Technology and Planning, Mr. Kelvin Shum was invited by the Department of Geography, University of Hong Kong as one of the speakers at a forum series held on 9 April and 23 April 2020 respectively. In the first forum titled “From Mapping SARS to COVID-19: Why and How Geography Matters?”, Kelvin focused on sharing his experience as a volunteer for the Smart City Consortium (SCC) in the design of COVID-19 interactive map dashboard for Hong Kong.
Mr. Kelvin Shum is invited to speak at a forum series organized by the Department of Geography, HKU.
The second forum was held with the topic “Location Intelligence, Human Mobility and Travel Restrictions under COVID-19”, Kelvin shared his extensive experience in transforming spatial information and data into useful knowledge with the technological advances in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), which generates location-based insights and supports decision-making for the society to react during the COVID-19 pandemic.
GIS helps analyze and solve issues arising from COVID-19.
