Tertiary Students Win Award with GIS

Esri China (HK) has been encouraging students who are studying at tertiary institutes in Hong Kong to participate in the Esri Young Scholars Award (YSA) held globally by Esri. The competition aims to promote using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies to solve urban problems.

Projects submitted by students have been of high quality and innovative this year. All of the YSA winners will be able to join the virtual Esri User Conference (UC) this year. They will also win an internship place working at the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) in summer.

On a separate note, we would like to share with our active participants that the Map in Learning (MiL) Program has been extended to 2025. We would like to see more primary and secondary schools students in Hong Kong and Macau gain free access to our GIS platform for e-learning through ArcGIS Online.
