Empower Banking and Insurance Sectors

 

In today's fast-paced financial landscape, informed decision-making is the cornerstone of success. Recently, industry leaders gathered at a seminar hosted by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) to explore how GeoAI and location intelligence are transforming the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector.

 

In the seminar, Sr Professor Paul Tsui, Chief Executive Officer of Esri China (Hong Kong), delivered a keynote presentation titled “Harness Geospatial Intelligence for Banking, Finance Services, and Insurance.” He emphasized the critical role of GIS within the BFSI sector, highlighting the potential of leveraging open data from the Common Spatial Data Infrastructure (CSDI) portal for business analysis and demonstrating how GIS can enhance risk management practices. Sr Prof. Tsui showcased the utility of spatial finance knowledge graphics for predictive risk assessments and emphasized the application of Geo Analytics tools for Anti Money Laundering initiatives.
