Dr. Winnie Tang Joins the

Cybercrime Policing Advisory Panel

 

The Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) of the Hong Kong Police Force held the inauguration of the second term of the Cybercrime Policing Advisory Panel (CPAP) in March 2025. The then Commissioner of Police, Mr. Siu Chak-yee, officiated the inaugural ceremony. Dr. Winnie Tang, MH, JP, Founder and Chairman of Esri China (Hong Kong) has been appointed as a member of the CPAP.

 

Under the leadership of Mr. Yip Wan-lung, Director of Crime and Security, the CPAP comprises 13 experts and leaders from the technology sector. They are poised to offer forward-looking strategic recommendations to the Police Force, enabling precise countermeasures against emerging technology-related crimes like cyber fraud, deepfakes, dark web malicious AI, virtual asset crimes, network attacks, and security threats.

The members of the Cybercrime Policing Advisory Panel represent diverse expertise in fields such as cybersecurity, digital economy, low-altitude economy, Web3 technology, digital infrastructure, financial technology, anti-deepfake technologies and more.
