The University of Hong Kong (HKU) marked a significant occasion during the HKU Alumni Day with the introduction of the HKU Super Angel Symposium and the official inauguration of the HKU Super Angel Network (HKU SAN) at the Rayson Huang Theatre, HKU. Dr. Winnie Tang, MH, JP, Chief Convenor of HKU SAN gave a keynote to outline the goals of HKU SAN. Formed by a dedicated group of alumni and supporters, Dr. Tang emphasized that the network is about to build a thriving entrepreneurial community. By creating a robust support system with a shared vision, HKU SAN aims to strengthen the startup ecosystem through mentorship, donations, and investment; bridging the gap between entrepreneurs and the resources they need to succeed.

The HKU Super Angel Symposium and the official inauguration of HKU SAN featured an engaging panel discussion with participants, including Dr. Winnie Tang; Mr. Hendrick Sin, MH, Founding and Managing Partner at China Prosperity Capital Fund; Mr. Albert Wong, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP); Dr. Grace Zhang, Assistant Professor of HKU's Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology; and Ms. Rebecca Leung, Co-founder of Z Label and Former Regional Executive Director of KKday. Together, they provided valuable insights into the future of entrepreneurship, stimulating discussions and sparking inspiration among attendees.
