Sewage surveillance helps Hong Kong to quickly identify infected people in our high-density urban environment. In the webinar, Dr. Tang showcased that, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have been playing an important role in the operation of large-scale sewage surveillance and in providing early warning of outbreaks in the community. She also illustrated the functions of the local COVID-19 interactive map dashboard.
