ArcGIS GeoBIM Bridges the Gap Between GIS and BIM

ArcGIS GeoBIM is the first-of-its-kind technology that bridges the gap between geographic information systems (GIS) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) data. In the Autodesk Industry Advisory Board (AIAB) Annual Conference 2022, Mr. Cary Barce,  GIS Solution Manager of Esri China (Hong Kong) introduced the features of ArcGIS GeoBIM and how it transforms the way the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) professionals and stakeholders plan, design, build and operate smarter infrastructure projects.

AIAB Annual Conference 2022 was held virtually on January 19, 2022. In the presentation, Mr. Cary Barce indicated that ArcGIS GeoBIM seamlessly integrates ArcGIS Online with BIM by connecting models, documents, and more in Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360 with the power of GIS through an intuitive web-based experience. GIS-BIM integration with ArcGIS GeoBIM helps to improve collaboration and streamline communication from the planning and design phases, to  construction and maintenance. In addition, Autodesk’s Revit documents and IFC – the openBIM file format - can be read directly by ArcGIS Pro.  The video recording of the presentation is available at https://youtu.be/UaFToo70WJs
