Esri China (HK) sponsored “GREAT Smart Cities Connect Conference 2019” held on 11-12 January 2019 to enhance collaboration of smart cities and technology advancement in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

Esri China (HK) was honored to sponsor the conference since Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is the foundation technology to support the development of smart cities. This idea is echoed by the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, highlighting that a smart city spatiotemporal cloud platform and a spatial information service platform should be developed in the region.

Dr. Winnie Tang, Chairman of Esri China (HK), Founder & Honorary President of Smart City Consortium, was invited as guest of honor for “GREAT Smart Cities Connect Conference 2019”.
