HK ArcGIS Enterprise Pricing FAQ
There are three options for licensing HK ArcGIS Enterprise: Standard and Advanced. The initial purchase is made through the Esri China (HK) Sales Team. Each option of HK ArcGIS Enterprise (Standard or Advanced) includes a specific number of Creator and Viewer user types, allowing you to choose the one that best suits the size of your organization. If you are eligible for an Enterprise Agreement (EA), our Sales Team will assist you in selecting the most suitable option for your organization.
HK ArcGIS Enterprise is self-hosted software. If you require a software as a service version of ArcGIS, you can license ArcGIS Online.
A user type is an annual license and the primary method of accessing HK ArcGIS Enterprise apps and capabilities. There are six different user types available that align with typical HK ArcGIS Enterprise workflows, including creating maps, conducting analysis, ensuring data quality, and making data-driven decisions. User types provide progressive permissions within HK ArcGIS Enterprise, allowing users to perform various tasks. These tasks range from monitoring performance securely with the Viewer user type to executing advanced analytics and high-end cartography with the Professional Plus user type. We recommend starting by determining which members of your team need to map, manage, and analyze data. In this case, you would require a Creator, Professional, or Professional Plus user type. One key difference between these three user types is the license level of the included HK ArcGIS Pro software. The Creator user type includes a Basic license, providing core functionality. The Professional user type includes a Standard license, while the Professional Plus user type includes an Advanced license and HK ArcGIS Pro extension products. An HK ArcGIS Enterprise organization is a group of users from a company who can work together using HK ArcGIS apps and capabilities in a shared portal. The organization is managed by an administrator who oversees portal features, manages the members who participate, user types, and permissions. An organization member with a Creator, Professional, or Professional Plus user type can be assigned the role of organization administrator.
No, per the terms of Esri’s Master Agreement, each user type license must be used by a single person. Each team member must be assigned their own user type and user type licenses may not be shared.
A commercial organization has purchased HK ArcGIS Enterprise Advanced, which includes 25 Creators responsible for visualizing and analyzing data to identify site locations, define sales territories, and assess store performance. It also includes 500 Viewers who can explore this information in maps and apps, including the sales team and executives.
Then, 2 Professional Plus users can be added to perform advanced cartography and analysis, while 40 Contributors can be added to the organization to provide competitive pricing information, update sales maps, and gather customer information.
