Esri China (HK) introduced the Esri Startup Program to Cyperport’s Community through an information session titled “Making Your Product Location-Aware by Esri’s Software” in April. Dr. Winnie Tang, Chairman of Esri China (HK), shared her insights on GIS and her experience as an entrepreneur in her opening remarks.

Esri Startup Program is a free three year program that gives emerging businesses the tools to build mapping and location analytics capabilities into their products. Qualifying startups receive various services, support and other opportunities to help them succeed.

The benefits of the Program include:

1. Online Services and Software: Participating parties are provided with the tools to add powerful maps, routing capabilities, location analytics and more for their products and organization.
2. Support and Training: Esri enables the participating parties with an entire suite of training and support options, giving them access to Esri’s detailed knowledge base, documentations, blogs, forums and more.
3. Community and Co-Marketing: Participating parties are supported with a variety of opportunities to help them grow. They can take advantage of free event passes, co-marketing, and relationship building with market leaders in technology.

The information session was well received as Esri China (HK) team answered a number of questions raised by enthusiastic attendees and had in-depth discussions about the Program.
