Tech-Fun Day Delivered Fun to Elderly

The Volunteer Team of Esri China (HK) shared the fun of modern technologies with about 100 senior citizens on 25 February, 2017.

The aged enjoyed some fun time on electronic games with Esri China (HK) executives.

Titled “Elderly Tech-Fun Day” and aimed at entertaining the elderly with electronic games, the event was organized by the Hong Kong Society for the Aged (abbreviated as HKSAGE) and Esri China (HK) was the co-organizer. It was held in the HKSAGE Chan Tseng His Chung District Elderly Community Center in Kwai Chung.

The HKSAGE was established in 1977. Its establishment was a response to the growing elderly population and their increased welfare needs. It aims to ensure better provision for Hong Kong’s elderly people so that their old age is passed in dignity and reasonable comfort.

In the event, 7 types of electronic games or activities based on Tablets were provided. The elderly was surprisingly good at mastering the skills of the games although many of them had never used a tablet before. Prizes were presented to those who performed well, and the volunteers and participants enjoyed the time of learning, playing and interacting very much.

Esri China (HK) colleagues play games on tablets together with the senior participants.
