Esri China (HK) Participated

in ITS Asia Pacific Forum

Esri China (HK) colleagues have actively participated in the Intelligent Transport System Asia Pacific Forum 2017, which was held in Hong Kong Science Park from 26 to 29 June, 2017.

 

Mr. Kelvin Shum presented the application of GIS in transportation sector.

 

Organized by Intelligent Transportation Systems-Hong Kong (ITS-HK) under the theme “Metropolitan Transportation Infrastructure in Smart Cities”, the ITS Asia Pacific Forum 2017 was a premium event for local, regional and global specialists, experts and government officials in the transportation and smart city sectors. It provided a unique platform to share application experience, get to grips with the latest innovations in the policies and technologies that underpin urban mobility, and to explore collaboration opportunities.

The forum contained multiple sessions including forum, exhibitions, executive and end-users networking, technical visits and workshops. Sr. Paul Tsui, Managing Director of Esri China (HK) has been appointed as the moderator for some of the sessions.

 

Mr. Kelvin Shum, Senior Director, Technology & Planning, Esri China (Hong Kong), presented the topic “Powering Smart Mobility Applications by GIS” in the session of “Smart Mobility Seminar”. He discussed the application of GIS in transportation domain including geospatial analytics which can help the Government to analyze and manage city traffic effectively.

Esri China (HK) also set up a booth with our partner Citilabs in the Exhibition section showcasing our GIS technologies and solutions. There were a lot of enquiries from the attendees. Overall the event was both satisfactory and rewarding.
