Esri China (HK) Chairman, Dr. Winnie Tang’s book “Surfing the IT World” has won the publishing award (Commerce and Management Category) in the first Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Award 2017.

 

 

Dr. Winnie Tang received the Award from Mr. Edward Yau Tang-wah, GBS, JP, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development in the Awards Presentation Ceremony.

 

Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Award (HKPBA) 2017 was organized by Hong Kong Publishing Professionals Society (HKPPS) and funded by CreateHK of HKSAR Government. The Award aims to recognize the contribution and dedication of local publishing professionals and practitioners of the industry as well as to provide a platform for professional exchanges among the publishing community of Hong Kong, Mainland and Taiwan.

 

The Award honors ten books, each representing a different genre, which were published in 2016–17. The judging panel consisted of publishing professionals, scholars and experts from the Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

 

Dr. Winnie Tang attributed the Award to Esri China (HK) colleagues.

 

After received the Award in the HKPBA Presentation Ceremony 2017 on 4 Aug 2017, Dr. Winnie Tang attributed the success of the book to the efforts that made by Esri China (HK) colleagues. “Your continuous works indeed attribute our success to get over the tectonic shifts in technology throughout the years and being recognized by the ICT industry in the region… Let’s embrace the technology and strive for the best to serve our community,” She said.
