Esri China (HK) held a workshop titled “Get Ready for ArcGIS Pro” on 28 May 2019 in Macau. A group of participants joined the workshop with a focus to receive the latest skills and knowledge about the ArcGIS platform, including how to migrate seamlessly from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro, which offers more 3D features to users.
Participants in the workshop focused on the latest features offered by ArcGIS Pro.
Some of the advantages of using ArcGIS Pro:
ArcGIS Pro features a modern simplified user interface combined with 2D and 3D geoprocessing experience, which supports multiple maps and layouts;
2D and 3D maps that users create in ArcGIS Pro can easily be shared as web maps and web scenes to ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise;
Users can create tasks in ArcGIS Pro to streamline repeatable workflows, automate the work with Python;
ArcGIS Pro has many analysis tools beyond ArcMap.
Our presenters also interacted with the participants about building and deploying portals by ready-to-use apps. In addition, some Hong Kong successful stories of integrating GIS with GPS technologies in the construction industry were shared.
