As a supporting organization, Esri China (HK) has actively participated in the Smart City Project Programme 2017/18 organized by the Education Bureau, as it enhanced students’ understanding of smart city and promoted their interest in studying further about the STEM-related subjects.
Esri China (HK) received a visit by a group of students from Cybertecture Academy which organized a summer program to broaden their horizon and facilitate exchange with professionals in the IT industry.
The Esri Young Scholars Award program has been globally launched in 2012 and Esri China (HK) has been sending relevant projects from Hong Kong to participate in the award since 2017. Winners are honored each year at the Esri User Conference.
Co-organized by the Education Bureau and HKU e-Learning Development Laboratory, the Smart City Project Programme x STEM Education Day Camp was launched, Esri China (HK) supported with ArcGIS Online in the Day Camp.
The launching ceremony of the Inter-school Cross-curricular Project Competition on Climate Change 2016-17 was successfully held on 25 October. The competition is a signature event of the Education Bureau for 2016-17 with Esri China (Hong Kong) Limited and Hong Kong Education City as the strategic partners.
