Assistant Land Surveyor

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in drafting engagement plans or documents to promote wider adoption of spatial data using state-of-art technology, e.g. artificial intelligence (AI);
  • Assist in collaborating with tech ventures and stakeholders in the I&T field to develop and deliver geospatial AI sandbox prototypes;
  • Assist in testing and validating the geospatial AI sandbox prototypes in real-life operating systems;
  • Assist in exploring the possibilities of involving the private sector in delivering new demonstrative projects and to seek collaboration opportunities with business and/or the academics;
  • Taking part in various capacity building and engagement activities;
  • Comprehensive and hands-on training will be provided; and
  • Successful candidate is required to work at the client site and will be offered a contract-based position subject to renewal.

REQUIREMENT

  • Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Geo-Informatics or a related discipline;
  • A qualification recognised by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) as satisfying the academic requirements for corporate membership in the Land Surveying Division;
  • Successfully completed a 2-year graduate training scheme recognised by the HKIS or equivalent;
  • Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and
  • Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English.
